Investigating Women's Health Issues: Urinary Incontinence and Low Back Pain
Recruitment Closed
Low back pain (LBP) and urinary incontinence (UI) can have a profound effect on an individual’s function and wellbeing, and result in substantial socioeconomic burden. However, our understanding of factors that results in LBP and UI and the inter-relationship between these conditions is limited. This study aims to investigate: (i) risk factors for the development of LBP and UI, (ii) their association with physical, psychological and social factors and (iii) the relationship between these conditions. This research is essential for identifying women at risk and developing prevention strategies for these highly debilitating conditions. Supported by NHMRC CCRE Grant 219279
